With a background in art history and experience as an art teacher, Jennifer brings a unique perspective to the therapeutic space. She began her professional journey in the classroom, where she witnessed firsthand the powerful connection between creativity and emotional well-being. This inspired her to further pursue the helping professions, ultimately earning a Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. Jennifer is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas and is currently working toward her independent clinical licensure (LCSW), with a particular interest in supporting children and families.
Jennifer’s clinical experience includes work in pediatric hospital settings, including NICU and post-partum care, as well as foster care systems and with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. She has also taught at a high school for students with special needs and developed support programs for pregnant and parenting teens. These diverse experiences have shaped her ability to support children, adolescents, and adults navigating life transitions, unresolved grief, post-traumatic stress, postpartum depression, and mood-related challenges.
Jennifer is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their challenges and build resilience. Her approach is collaborative and person-centered, often incorporating creative modalities when words alone are not enough.
Outside of her professional life, Jennifer has been married for 24 years and is the proud mother of three. She enjoys traveling with her family and finding joy in new experiences together.
