Daniela is a bilingual (English and Spanish) counselor in training. Daniela grew up in Bogota, Colombia, and moved to Houston, Texas, in 2016. Moving to a new country was a life change for Daniela. However, Houston became her home, and one of her passions is to learn about the diverse community in the Houston area.
Daniela has been working in community mental health since 2018, inspiring her to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University. Working in community health has shown her the importance for people in the community to find a safe place to express and process their life experiences without feeling judged.
For the last four years, Daniela has been working with children and is passionate about learning different interventions that can assist children in dealing with their own life experiences. Daniela is completing a Play therapy certification at Sam Houston University and has taken Sandtray Therapy classes.
Daniela loves taking her dog for walks and traveling.
