Daniela is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She grew up in Bogota, Colombia, and moved to Houston, Texas, in 2016. Although moving to a new country was a life change for Daniela, Houston became her home, and one of her passions is learning about the diverse community in the Houston area.

Daniela has been working in community mental health since 2018, which inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University. Working in community health has shown her the importance of people in the community finding a safe place to express and process their life experiences without feeling judged.

For the last four years, Daniela has been working with children and is passionate about learning different interventions that can assist children in dealing with their own life experiences. Daniela completed a Play therapy certification at Sam Houston University and has taken Sandtray Therapy classes.  She is currently working towards certification to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Daniela loves taking her dog for walks and traveling.
