A Commitment to Accessible Mental Health Care
We firmly believe that every individual deserves access to quality mental health care, yet we acknowledge the unfortunate reality that this is not always attainable. Many mental health practices face obstacles when dealing with insurance companies due to their rigid policies, which often prioritize data over individualized care, imposing limitations on session durations and necessitating diagnostic labels that can depersonalize clients. While we diverge from the traditional medical model of mental health, which has historically marginalized certain communities, we recognize its utility in extending accessible care to those who opt for it.
Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in our acceptance of specific insurance panels at our practice. Additionally, we gladly accommodate Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and furnish Superbills/receipts for individuals with out-of-network insurance coverage. Moreover, we warmly welcome self-pay clients, allowing individuals the flexibility to choose whether to utilize insurance benefits or opt for self-payment at any point.

This means that your out-of-pocket expense will depend on your insurance contract. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, services may be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services. Please keep us updated on any changes from your insurance provider, as you are responsible for paying for services not covered.
If we don't take your insurance, we can provide you with a superbill that you can use to get out-of-network benefits with your insurance company.

Please be mindful that if you ask for a fee at the lowest end of the scale when you can afford the full fee, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with sliding scales practices grows strong and sustainable communities. Additionally, when I am paid fairly, I am able to invest more time and resources in training and materials to serve you better.
